  P'nr Ind. No. 337 Louisa died of chronic diarrhoea in Upper Hawthorn on 2 September 1853, 15 days after she had landed in the colony. William who was present at the death signed her death certificate with a cross. She was buried the next day in the Melbourne General Cemetery.
