  • Notes
    • William Brandis - Listed as John Brandis. The entry under the name of John Brandis that appeared on page 65 of the Dictionary of Western Australians 1829 - 1914, Volume 3, FREE, 1850 -1868 and again in The Bicentennial Dictionary of Western Australians, pre-1829 - 1888, Volume 1, A -C, were incorrectly transcribed from the passenger list for the Palestine. The entry on the passenger list was 'Wlm' an abbreviation for William and was unfortunately transcribed as John. Thought you would like the correct information.
