  • Notes
    • Early married life spent around Youanmi and Agnew, later in Perth.
Jack was, The Champion Bantam Weight Boxer of W.A. for 1917. who had 22 fights 18 wins, 2 loses, 2 draws. His trade was Butchering. They lived in Narrogin, Collie, Youandmi, Agnew, Southern Cross, and Perth. Their last residence was Henry St. Shenton Park. In 1920's Jack coached and umpired football in Narrogin and Collie. When people began leaving the tiny towns of Youandmi, and Agnew, he moved away to were he was able to get work. Jack had a butcher shop in Nedlands and West Perth. And on returning home from the War his two eldest sons joined him in the shop. He kept racehorses at one time and his pride and joy was Gay Leo who was a winner. He was a short man with a "gravelly" voice, black to grey hair going bald. He was a tease, liked a joke, and was good natured.
