    • I have long been searching for an ancestor, Captain John Urquhart, born in Limehouse (now London) between 1821 & '23. He was shipwrecked off Australia and settled there.
      I have recently seen in IGI ('submission') the marriage of John Urquhart and Ann Sarah Kenworthy in Perth in 1872 (marriage also on your Brady site) as well as the burial of Ann Sarah in Jan 1914, in Perth, whose obit refers to her as the widow of the "late Captain John Urquhart".
      A John Urquhart appears three or four times in the Westrn Australia Times in 1864,1872,1874 and 1880.
      Have you any info which might validate or contradict my hope that this is 'my' John Urquhart?
      If he is indeed the John Urquhart I am seeking, it was his sister, Mary Ann who married my mother's direct ancestor Wm Morris in Stepney (Poplar) in 1840.
